African Pride website overhaul includes new agent resources hub
Specialist operator also now offers search functionality online
African Pride has overhauled its website to include a new resources hub for travel agents and search functionality for the first time.
The tour operator’s new-look site, viewable on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, contains new icons and imagery as well as video content and holiday ideas and advice for tailor-made travel to Africa and the Indian Ocean.
Following trade feedback the site now includes a hub where agents can find destination guides, maps and other useful resources to help them when booking holidays for their clients.
Marketing manager Julia O’Connor said travel agents were “at the heart” of what African Pride does and that working with them was “key” to delivering the perfect holiday experience.
She said: “We asked travel agents for feedback on the information they would find useful to sell Africa. We have incorporated this into practical information on the website, including a new agents’ section with useful destination guides, resources and maps.
“Keeping our agent partners at the forefront of travel to Africa and the Indian Ocean is key for us and this website showcases both popular and new and unique holiday experiences to assist them to do this with ease.”
The site’s new search facility for accommodation and destinations, previously not offered online, has also been added as part of a total revamp of the site’s functionality and design.
In addition, the site now offers day by day holiday idea itineraries; details on the best times to travel to each destination with an overview guide for agents to download and keep; the specialist operator’s ‘classic’ safari itineraries for first-timers and a guide on what to expect on safaris.
Other content on the site includes details of African Pride’s ‘unique experiences’ such as sleeping under the stars or dining with giraffes and its product geared for honeymooners, families, train lovers or those seeking adventure.
