The Original Beauty Influencer Doesn’t Get the Sunday Scaries—Here’s Why
For Laura Lee, it's all about intention.
Just like a good night equals a good morning, a happy Sunday brings a happy week. In this series, we explore the end-of-week rituals of people we admire to discover how they prioritize respite and calm to reclaim their rest before the Monday madness hits. Next up, LA-based beauty and lifestyle influencer and entrepreneur, Laura Lee shares her Sunday night routine.
When Laura Lee creates content, she’s laser-focused on connection. Her relationship with her online community transcends views and engagement—it’s embedded in everything she creates. From her welcoming persona to her transparency in her podcast and her accessibility-driven beauty routine, she demonstrates a true understanding of the pain points of women everywhere, bringing that knowledge to the products she develops as an entrepreneur.
Laura does it all, and she does it with unbridled passion. But because she shares so much of herself with the world, Laura also values the time she has to truly unwind, switch off, and prioritize herself. In her quiet moments, she focuses on peace, positivity, and—perhaps most surprisingly—excitement.
While we can all relate to her obsession with Euphoria and nightly TikTok scroll, unlike many of us, Laura doesn’t get the Sunday Scaries. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t feel guilty about her screen time (noted). Or maybe it’s because her Sunday night routine nurtures her excitement for the week ahead. And when she’s faced with a challenge? She leans into her creativity. Laura is constantly learning and maintains an open perspective—and it’s this approach that makes her work feel so authentic.
Read on for an inspiring peek into Laura’s routine. Who knows, you might just adopt her own, end-of-the-week ritual: wrapping things up with positivity and peace.
Dive in to Laura Lee’s Sunday night routine
When does your Sunday night start?
Around 8 p.m. I start my routine after I finish dinner, which could be a delicious, home-cooked meal prepared by me and my husband or something we ordered if we weren’t in the mood to cook.
Do you get the Sunday Scaries?
Sunday nights are really exciting for me! I enjoy my life and love the work I do. I’m almost always excited for whatever the workweek holds, and I look forward to opportunities that present themselves throughout the week.
I will admit that sometimes it’s challenging, but that isn’t a bad thing. My career allows me to be super creative and every day is a little different. But being open-minded and positive about what’s coming next and staying focused on my goals keeps the Sunday Scaries away.
Do you work on Sunday nights?
The only work I do on Sunday nights are things that will better prepare me for the week ahead. For example, filling out my calendar, acknowledging the important things I have to do that week, cleaning up my makeup desk, and hanging up all the clothes on the floor of my closet. These are really important organizational tasks, because my closet, makeup room, and home are all part of my workspace.
In order to be creative, I need these spaces to be clean and clear.
What books are you reading right now and recommend reading on a Sunday night to prep for the week ahead?

I start my nighttime routine with a warm bath. I like to use that time to put my phone away and focus on a good book. Right now, I’m reading You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero. This book has really opened my eyes to my relationship with money and has helped me overcome a lot of limiting beliefs.
Then, I start my skincare routine…
I always choose peace and focus on the positive.
What are you watching right now?
Euphoria, Righteous Gemstones, and Peacemaker.
What bedding do you swear by for restful sleep?
I absolutely love Parachute Home’s Cloud Cotton Quilt. It’s the coziest bedding ever and I have two of their comforters on my bed!
What do you keep on your nightstand?
Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer keeps my lips moisturized and I use Céla Essential Balm for my feet, hands, elbows, and ankles. Of course, my Slip Silk Sleep Mask plus a glass of water and a mini noise-canceling fan!
What are your nightly social media and tech habits?
I don’t avoid social media, but I do choose to scroll through and focus on some of my favorite socials like TikTok. Around 9 p.m., I put my phone away for the night and I put it on Do Not Disturb mode. At that point, my social time is over until Monday.
What should you never do on a Sunday night?
Drink alcohol. I want to wake up refreshed and with a clear head to get focused on my week. Watch a murder documentary. I need to sleep on Sunday nights and scary TV shows keep me awake!Go to bed angry. Life is so unpredictable and it’s definitely not fair. But if something is bothering me, I choose to let it go. I want to be at peace for the start of my week. I always choose peace and choose to focus on the positive.
