Advantage strengthens partnership with Thrust Carbon

Tie-up presents ‘remarkable opportunity’ to drive sustainability

Advantage strengthens partnership with Thrust Carbon

The Advantage Travel Partnership has strengthened its bond with sustainability intelligence platform Thrust Carbon.

Having formed an initial tie-up in 2021, Thrust Carbon was named as Advantage’s official sustainability partner at the consortium’s annual conference in Cancun, Mexico, on Thursday.

The bolstered tie-up will see the platform provide a range of activities and benefits for members aimed at helping them and their clients be more sustainable, including webinars and regulation guides.

Advantage hopes the partnership will allow it to reduce the carbon footprint of all its events and help support consumers with the ability to measure, analyse, and reduce their carbon impact.

Advantage chief executive Julia Lo Bue-Said said: “This means members of the Advantage Travel Partnership and partners of the Advantage Global Network now have the opportunity to take advantage of sustainable technology for their clients and educational resources for themselves, designed to help them understand and implement practical ways to reduce travel industry carbon emissions.

“These resources will include webinars and guides that inform and empower members to take confident, effective steps towards achieving their sustainability goals.”

Thrust Carbon founder Mark Corbett said: “Working together presents a remarkable opportunity to drive the travel and hospitality industry towards a more sustainable future.

“With this partnership, Thrust Carbon and The Advantage Travel Partnership are setting new standards in the travel industry.”
