Ambassador Cruise Line hosts agents on Norwegian Fjords fam trip
No-fly cruise line has welcomed 50 partners on voyages since July
Ambassador Cruise Line has hosted 14 travel agents on a seven-night fam trip around Norway’s fjordlands.
The voyage departed London on September 26 and was hosted by Ambassador’s trade support manager Beth Barker and business development executive Andrew Santry.
The itinerary included visits to Stavanger, Eidfjord, Flam and Bergen with onboard and off-ship activities.
These included a Captain’s Welcome presentation, a Q&A session with Ambience’s heads of department and dinner in speciality restaurant Sea and Grass, plus Norwegian kayaking, cider tasting and a rib safari in Flam.
Agents on the trip included representatives from Bolsover Cruise Club, Harley Travel, Lincolnshire Coop Travel Sleaford, Travel Counsellors, Your Co-Op Travel, Independent Travel Experts, Inspire, Travel Village, Hays Travel PTC, Althams Travel, Premier Travel, Dawson and Sanderson and Go Cruise and Travel.
So far this year, Ambassador has hosted more than 600 agents for ship visits on Ambition and Ambience across the UK and 50 partners on fam trips between July and October.
“With 60% of our sales through the trade, our partners are the backbone of our success,” said Karen Cameron, Ambassador’s deputy head of trade.
“The fam trip offered us a great opportunity to say thanks to some of our key partners, courtesy of this fabulous autumnal visit to the fjords onboard Ambience, our first lady of the sea.
“We appreciate all the incredible work they do for us and realise that there’s nothing like experiencing a product first-hand. Our team had a great time showcasing the best of what Ambassador has to offer as our agent friends ‘enjoyed themselves’ while learning more about our unique product on this incredible Ambassador sailing.”
