Suede Boots
Suede for fall? So original, I know, but suede boots of all hues are tippy top of my fall fashion wishlist at the moment. From ankle to over-the-knee, a suede boot brings a seasonal flare to every look, effortlessly adding warmth, texture, and depth to even the simplest of outfits. The Row’s Zipped Boot in Suede and Miu Miu’s Suede Boots are some of the most coveted boots of the season, and lucky for us, there is no shortage of more affordable options on the market. But regardless of the price of the boot, be sure to invest in a good suede protector spray to shield your boots from the elements, ensuring your fall footwear remains pristine throughout the season and beyond.
Moto Boots
I recently dubbed moto boots one of the top fashion trends for fall 2024, and while this style isn’t for everyone, you’re bound to see it everywhere. Often adorned with buckles and hardware, these are definitely on the edgier side of the fall boots 2024 spectrum, but are best styled with a bit of contrast. While a full biker-chic look might be the most obvious choice, try pairing your moto boots with a more dainty, girly vibe to turn heads at any fall outing. Not only are moto boots on the pulse this season, they’re sturdy and comfortable enough to take you from the pumpkin patch to a dinner party.
Riding Boots
Riding boots had 13-year-old me in a chokehold, and adult me is happy to see them in the spotlight for fall 2024. Though a true timeless shoe, the rise of sophisticated, tailored, and preppy looks this fall has brought refreshed attention back to riding boots and inspired some fun twists. While classic riding boots remain true to their equestrian roots, this year, designers are bringing new life to the staple with unexpected colors and materials. Exhibit A: this Gucci pair. I’ve recently loved styling riding boots with shorts and an oversized blazer for a chic fall look that’s still cool enough for still warm temps in LA.
Pointed Toe Boots
Pointed toe boots are an unexpected personal favorite of all of the fall boots 2024 has brought thus far. I (literally) dipped my toe into this trend last year with elongated, but still round-toed boots, but after seeing a friend in these fabulous Anine Bing Hilda Boots, consider me a full convert. This chic silhouette not only infuses an outfit with a sophisticated edge, but its leg-lengthening effect is truly unparalleled. Pair them with straight-leg jeans for a polished everyday look or layer them over tights with a mini dress for a more refined ensemble. Either way, don’t knock a pointed toe ‘til you try it.
Statement Boots
While the buckled moto boots or pointed toes might be enough of a statement for some, maximalism is in, and wild, printed boots took over designer FW2024 runways. From bold animal prints to eye-catching metallics, these standout styles effortlessly transform any look. Whether you’re dressing up an all-black outfit for a night out, or adding spunk to jeans and a white tee for brunch, statement boots are the perfect way to express your unique style this fall. Even if you’re more of a minimalist, you can pair leopard print boots with a classic black dress for a pop of personality or style metallic ankle boots with tailored trousers for an edgy, yet polished vibe.
