Brilliant Travel seeks further growth after ‘extraordinary’ year
Business achieved 33% rise in number of homeworkers
Brilliant Travel director Linda Pyle wants to back up an “extraordinary” year with further growth.
During the Barrhead Travel Group conference in Palma, Pyle said Brilliant Travel had recorded a 33% rise in the number of homeworkers in the past year, as well as a 21% increase in the number of managed service travel partners (MSTPs).
Pyle said Brilliant Travel, which is a division of Barrhead, will continue to grow next year.

She added: “I don’t think we can ever say we’ve got enough members, so it makes sense to grow.”
Brilliant Travel, which turns 10 this year, currently has a total of 48 MSTPs and 40 homeworkers.
“We continue to recruit all the time but we’ve actively gone out this year and promoted ourselves within the business,” said Pyle.
Entrepreneurs from outside the travel industry have expressed interest in joining, said Pyle, but the business has also proven to be attractive to existing agents elsewhere.
“There are a lot of people in the travel business who want to take the leap of faith and set themselves up and I think it’s stronger now than ever,” said Pyle, who went on to outline Brilliant Travel’s approach during the pandemic.
“We made sure all of our members got through it – we really supported them throughout – and our members are very much appreciative of that,” she said, adding: “We didn’t lose any members throughout Covid, either.”
