Classic shakes up agent conference with festival concept

Classic Package Holidays is taking an alternative approach to its overseas gathering for agents next year by creating ‘CPH FEST’.

At least 100 travel agents are due to attend the inaugural event, to be held in Belek, Turkey, on March 20-23.

The three-day festival has been designed to be anything but the usual conference or awards ceremony, according to agency sales and marketing director Si Morris-Green.

He said: “We’re taking a really different approach to our event this year to make it stand out from all the usual conferences.

“We’re doing away with formal sessions and bringing in dodgem racing, competitive bowling and cocktail tastings.

“Instead of gala dinners, our event will be completely all inclusive with dine arounds and mix and mingles giving agents the chance to network.

“And to give CPH FEST a real festival vibe there’ll be a focus on incredible entertainment with many surprises along the way.”

Morris-Green added: “It’ll be a hugely fun and engaging all inclusive event, taking place in one of the UK’s most popular holiday destinations.

“We’ll celebrate, recognise and reward the hard work of our travel trade partners, and strengthen agent partnerships that are vital to our trade-only brand.”

SunExpress, the Antalya-based joint airline venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa which has a preferential commercial partnership with the trade-only operator, will be providing flights.
