Cunard to host coronation-themed activities on three ships

Cunard will host a range of coronation-themed activities on board three ships during the bank holiday weekend.

Passengers on Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will have the opportunity to watch the coronation ceremony live in the ships’ theatres and on stateroom televisions.

The line said it will hold “specially curated dinners inspired by King Charles’ love of farming, agriculture, game and organic principles” on each ship on May 6, and has designed coronation-themed cocktails to go alongside the meal.

All three ships will be at sea on the coronation day and will host street parties in the lobby, musical performances, films and quizzes.

Each ship will also hold a deck walk on May 8 to raise money for The Prince’s Trust, a charity aiming to support young people from disadvantaged communities by helping them build their confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.

Passengers on Queen Elizabeth will be starting their nine-night Southern Japan and Taiwan cruise, while Queen Victoria will be returning from a 12-night sailing around the Canary Islands.

Meanwhile, Queen Mary 2 will be hosting a five-night British Isles ‘coronation celebration’ cruise, which was slotted in after two transatlantic sailings were cancelled due to a technical issue.
