Flight Centre announces departure of product and partnerships head
Agency ‘devastated’ as it confirms Liz Cairns’ exit
Flight Centre has announced the departure of its head of product and partnerships.
Liz Cairns, who started at the agency in 2010, is moving to London-based marketing and communications agency Black Diamond.
She will start the role in Janurary and will head up the firm’s travel trade department.
Flight Centre Travel Group executive general manager Andrew Boxall said: “It is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to a truly exceptional member of our Flight Centre family.
“One of Liz’s most notable attributes is her remarkable ability to foster valuable partnerships, which have been instrumental in delivering not only incredible value for Flight Centre but also for our supply partners.
“Her dedication to excellence and tireless work ethic have earned her well-deserved recognition within the business and across the industry.”
Lucy Clifton, managing director of Flight Centre UK, said: “Liz’s expertise, enthusiasm, and positivity have had a lasting impact on our culture and success.
“While we are devastated to see her leave, we are also excited for the new opportunities that await her in her next endeavour. Liz leaves as a friend, not only to the brand but to me personally.
“For Flight Centre Leisure UK this does also mean exciting times are ahead as we look to the future for our partnerships team. Watch this space.”
