Funding to mentorship: Carousell launches new scheme to nurture young entrepreneurs in Asia
Participants get access to an exclusive panel discussion and coffee chats with mentors such as Carousell CEO, and the co-founders of Love, Bonito and ShopBack.
As it celebrates a decade of supporting entrepreneurs, Carousell announced today (September 1) the launch of #StartonCarousell.
Launched in August, #StartonCarousell aims to nurture a new generation of entrepreneurs, and is Carousell’s first regional program that aims to help young entrepreneurs — under 25 years old — bring their business to life.
Inspired by the real stories from Carousellers and their aspiration for financial freedom, this program aims to provide the tools, hands-on experience, and guidance they need to get started.
This includes training by the Carousell team on how to use seller tools to amplify their business, and an exclusive panel discussion and coffee chats with established mentors such as Carousell’s co-founder and CEO Quek Siu Rui; Love, Bonito’s co-founder Rachel Lim, Kumu’s Chief Product Officer Crystal Widjaja; and ShopBack’s co-founder Joel Leong.

“We can’t wait to see how this takes off, to meet with buzzing aspiring entrepreneurs across the region and to exchange ideas with them through our mentorship sessions,” said Quek.
He also shares how Carousell’s meaningful journey for the past decade. They have had the privilege of serving tens of millions of users across the region, with Carousell shaping the way people come together to buy and sell, and connect with one another.
“We’ve seen how our platform enables users to realise their own passions and aspirations, and this has been an extremely fulfilling validation of our mission, to inspire the world to start selling and buying,” he adds.
Interested applicants can sign up for the open call for #StartonCarousell by September 7 here.
