Gibraltar drops testing on arrival and PLF requirements

Covid testing will no longer be required for those entering Gibraltar via its international airport or port from March 18.

Travellers flying into Gibraltar will no longer be required to submit a Passenger Locator Form from the same date.

Unvaccinated close contacts of Covid-19 positive cases will no longer be required to self-isolate from March 25

However, Covid positive cases will have to continue to self-isolate in line with an established day 6 and day 7 testing regime.

This will be kept under review as the situation continues to change, the Gibraltar Tourist Board confirmed.

General requirements to wear masks were removed on March 4.

Minister for business, tourism and the port, Vijay Daryanani, said: “Gibraltar’s safety has always been an important factor for our visitors, and now more than ever it is important that our visitors feel safe and secure.

“We are pleased to make it even easier for UK travellers to explore Gibraltar and the elimination of airport testing and the Passenger Locator Form ensures visitors can travel seamlessly and with ease.

“We saw strong visitor numbers throughout 2021, and we believe these new measures will boost these numbers further during 2022.”
