Google Highlights Top Halloween Search Trends
Insights for your spooky season efforts.
Seeking some extra inspiration for your Halloween outfit or promotion?
This will help. Google has launched the latest version of its “Frightgeist” Halloween search trends mini-site, which provides up-to-date listings of all of the top Halloween trends, based on Google Search activity.
This year’s version of Frightgeist, which is the seventh edition of the activation, includes an overview of key costume trends, based on U.S. Search activity.
Not sure how Australian breakdancer Raygun feels about being a top Halloween costume, but she’s now among characters from films like “Beetlejuice,” “Inside Out,” and “Deadpool and Wolverine” as the top costume choices for this year’s event.
Frightgeist also includes listings of kids costume trends, make-up searches, food trends, Halloween décor, party themes, even dog costumes if you need.
It’s “Dogpool,” dogpool is the top dog costume trend, if you were wondering.
The overviews could be particularly helpful for your Halloween promotions, and understanding what people are looking for this time around. Tap into the right theme and you might be able to spark more interest in your promotions and offerings, so aside from helping you choose a costume for yourself, there is a practical, business value to these insights.
Frightgeist also has a map of the U.S., so you can explore state-by-state costume trends as well.
It’s a handy overview of what people are looking for, and what they’re interested in this spooky season. Though, interestingly, Google’s hasn’t included its “Costume Wizard” costume selection tool this time around.
You probably don’t need it, the trends give you enough info either way.
