Grenada back on sale with Kuoni for 2022-2023

Island returns to operator’s programme

Grenada back on sale with Kuoni for 2022-2023

Grenada is back on sale with Kuoni for 2022-2023 following a review of the tour operator’s Caribbean programme.

The island has been reinstated in the programme for the first time since 2019.

Kuoni’s main focus for next year will be its three most popular Caribbean islands of St Lucia, Barbados and Antigua, but as well as Grenada it is also featuring Dominica, added last year as a twin centre, and the Grenadines.

Grenada, along with St Kitts, Jamaica and Bermuda, was dropped by Kuoni for 2020 when the operator reduced the size of its programme to focus on the larger islands of Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua and the Grenadines.

The aim for 2022-2023 is to twin Grenada with stays in St Lucia and Barbados, said Kuoni senior programme manager Sheena Paton, to “enrich and diversify” how the operator sells Caribbean holidays.

Paton said: “Having visited the island recently, Grenada is perfect for our clients with superb beaches in the south combined with the contrast of a lush, rugged north side with rainforest, waterfalls and hiking trails.

“It’s an exciting part of how we want to position the Caribbean, as a premium destination rich in culture and diverse landscapes, perfect for honeymoons and other special occasion trips.”

Highlights in Grenada include Spice Island Resort, 473 Boutique Resort, Mt Edgecombe and Petite Anse while a new range of experiences, including rainforest walks and island history tours, have also been added.

Kuoni has also introduced US stopovers in Miami and New York as part of its Caribbean collection to create city breaks with beach and soft adventure itineraries that are not available through other operators.
