Groupize Goes Pro

Groupize rolls out an expanded solution set that will include large, more complex meetings on a global scale; it's a far cry from it's 'simple' beginnings.

Groupize Goes Pro

Self-service meetings management platform Groupize on Monday at the Global Business Travel Association convention launched a new solution tailored to professional meeting planners and which, the company claimed, can scale to complex global event logistics.

In releasing Groupize Pro, the company that once called itself a “simple” meetings solution is aiming to be a one-stop-shop that enables companies to configure user types that will unlock specific modules and features appropriate to the users’ different skill and clearance levels.

CEO Alisa de Gaspe Beaubien called the release “the embodiment of years of feature building for professional meeting and event planners. … we’re not just enhancing our software.”

The upgraded platform leverages Groupize’s acquisition of The Vendry marketplace, which added 70,000 venues and independent vendors to Groupize’s previous marketplace portfolio of 190,000 global venues. The acquisition also unlocks artificial intelligence-assisted venue search and response.

New event management tools automate some routine tasks and include a customizable meeting request form, three sourcing workflows, attendee type configurations for applicable travel policy, and an event app with check-in capabilities to streamline onsite processes.

The company said it will continue to invest in new technologies and strategic acquisitions, like The Vendry, to expand and enhance its offering for professional meeting and event planners.
