Hays Travel hails ‘bumper’ sales at homeworker conference

More than 220 agents took part in the first pre-peaks virtual conference to be held by Hays Travel’s homeworking division.

Tanya Cooper (pictured), head of Hays Travel’s Personal Travel Consultant division, said: “The virtual conference has followed a bumper month for the homeworking division, with results of over 200% growth on the prior year and a 100% growth on the prior month.”

The chair of Hays Travel, Dame Irene Hays, opened the conference with an overview of the wider business, including trends, observations of the marketplace and the impact of rising inflation and costs on customers’ spending habits.

Hays Travel’s marketing, social media and commercial teams talked about the company’s plans for the peak season and the support for homeworkers.

Aaron Petty, Hays Travel Personal Travel Consultant, said: “The virtual conference was really motivational and has left me feeling confident about the upcoming peaks season.

“I’m positive I’m going to see my business go from strength to strength as customers’ buying habits are showing evidence that there is still a desire to travel.”

Hays Travel Homeworking has recently added a new Academy Leads Supported Option package for those with no travel experience, but who have a passion for travel and can gain access to good quality leads.

The head office team has also expanded as Victoria Johnson joined as a homeworking recruitment executive.
