Instagram Creators with Over 100k Followers Will Now Get Access to Additional Comment Filters
The filters will provide more ways to hone in on the most important interactions.

Instagram has announced that it's expanding access to its comment filtering tools, with all creators with over 100,000 followers now able to access additional comment filters including “Top comments,” “Newest first,” and “Follower count.”
As you can see in this example, shared to the Instagram Creators broadcast channel, creators with large audiences can now sort through their post comments more easily, with a range of additional filters to hone in on specific replies.
As noted, the additional filters are:
Top comments – Sort comments based on how much engagement each has received Newest first – Sort comments by most recent Follower count – Sort comments based on the follower count of each contributorAll IG creators can also use the additional tabs to only list comments by:
People you follow Verified users only Subscribers onlyThese additional elements provide more ways to engage with your top supporters, and focus on key interactions, which could help to amplify your posts through and connectivity.
It could also help you drive more subscriptions, by responding to those users as a priority, or ensure that those with higher reach within your niche are top of your list. There are various ways in which you can use this to maximize your engagement time, and for those who do see a lot of comments on their feed posts and Reels, these could be important valuable strategic options for your process.
But they’re only available to those with 100k followers. So you’re going to have to lift your game to reach the required threshold to qualify for these tools.
And yes, I know that some people who don’t have 100k followers get just as many comments, and yes, I know that you’re super important, and that you, specifically, should have this feature switched on for your account.
I don’t make the rules, I’m just the messenger in this instance, and at present, the thresholds are as IG defines.
