Jet2holidays extends summer 2026 season for Kalamata and Crete
Company will operate flights from early April next year for first time
Jet2holidays has extended its summer 2026 programme to Kalamata and Crete on the back of demand from holidaymakers and travel agents.
The operator has added more capacity to Kalamata and Chania in Crete, bringing the season forward in both destinations to early April next year.
Flights for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to the destinations earlier than ever before, with the first departures on April 3, 2026, to Crete (Chania) and on April 5, 2026, for Kalamata.
The extended season affects flights from Birmingham, Manchester and Stansted to Crete (Chania) and flights out of Manchester and Stansted airports for Kalamata.
The new flights, on sale now, include an additional weekly Friday service from Birmingham to Crete, from April 3 to April 24, on top of the company’s existing twice-weekly flights from Birmingham from May until October 30.
At Manchester, there will be additional twice-weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays to Crete from April 3 to April 28 as well as an extra Sunday service to Kalamata from April 5 to April 26. Jet2 already offers up to three weekly services to Chania from May to October from the airport and two weekly services to Kalamata from May until early November.
Other new flights now on sales are an additional Tuesday service from Stansted to Crete from April 7 to April 28 and extra Sunday services from Stansted to Kalamata from April 5 to April 26. Jet2 already has up to three weekly services to Chania from May until October out of Stansted and up to two weekly services to Kalamata from May until early November.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “Kalamata and Crete (Chania) are enormously popular destinations, and we continue to see strong demand from customers and independent travel agents looking to book or travel earlier in the summer season or for Easter.
“As ever, we have reacted quickly to that demand by extending the summer 26 seasons, providing customers with the holiday choices that they want.”
