Karen Pittman is leaving And Just Like That... On Friday, Max confirmed that the actress, who played Nya Wallace on the Sex and the City follow up series, will not return for season 3.

"It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of And Just Like That…," a Max spokesperson told ET in a statement. "As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others. Due to her commitments to two other streamer series, it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn't possible."

"Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That…," the statement continued. "Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors."

In addition to AJLT, Pittman has roles on Apple TV+'s hit series, The Morning Show, and on Netflix's upcoming show, Forever.

Pittman has yet to address her exit. When ET spoke to the actress at the Critics Choice Awards in January, she admitted to not knowing what was to come on the series.

"I haven't heard anything about season 3," she told ET at the time. "They're keeping that very close, like, locked up. I think that's good, because people love that show so much and that stuff just spills out in the craziest ways."

She went on to praise John Corbett's return as Aidan Shaw, and express love for her character's storyline with Gary Dourdan's Toussaint, noting, "We'll see what happens."

The news of Pittman's exit comes the month after Variety reported that Sara Ramírez will not return their AJLT role of Ché Diaz. At the time, Max declined ET's request for comment on the report.

Fans will have to wait until 2025 to see what Max has in store for the series' third season.
