Murray Travel opens third store in north Scotland
Forres shop is ‘realisation of a year’s worth of hard work’
Murray Travel has opened its third retail premises in the north of Scotland, making good on its promise to maintain a presence in Forres.
The store’s unveiling follows the agency’s takeover of Beaver Travel and Alba Travel branches last year, where it made a commitment to continue serving clients in the two towns. The firm’s Elgin branch opened earlier this year.
Originally Inverness Travel, Scott and Sarah Murray established the agency in 2014, but rebranded as Murray Travel last year following the takeover.
Director Scott Murray (pictured right), who grew up in Forres, said: “Opening our new boutique in Forres is the realisation of a year’s worth of hard work and determination to provide the people of Forres with high quality travel services.
“When we took on Alba Travel and Beaver Travel last year, we promised to remain engaged with the local community in Forres, and now that we have found the perfect premises, we’re delighted to be back in action. For me to be returning to work in the town where I grew up is a great feeling.
“It’s important to us that our customers feel at ease when making travel arrangements so we are pleased that they will see many familiar faces when visiting our new boutique.
“Our travel advisors are passionate about finding holidaymakers the trip of a lifetime.”
Scott and Sarah Murray also co-founded Wanderluxe, a homeworking agency based in Sawbridgeworth, near London. Scott Murray is also managing director of Highland hospitality group, Cru Holdings.
