Not Just Travel reports stellar sales on Cyber Monday
Agency credits upturn to more luxury and high-end cruise bookings
Not Just Travel has reported a 45% year-on-year increase in sales on Cyber Monday (December 2), with average booking values up 11% on the equivalent day in 2023.
The franchise agency said Monday’s sales were 60% ahead of those made on Black Friday and said it expected momentum to continue with “deals available to the end of peaks”.
It added that a rise in booking value reflected more sales of luxury holidays and higher-end cruises, and credited a direct debit scheme for encouraging customers to stretch budgets further.
The positive sales reports mirror those from other agencies, which said the period around Black Friday was becoming a growing focal point for travel bookings.
Not Just Travel co-founder Steve Witt (pictured, right) said: “This year’s Cyber Monday has been phenomenal. Our consultants are more confident and knowledgeable than ever, have excellent trade relationships, and know where to go to perfectly match clients with suppliers.
“Our direct debit scheme makes holidays more affordable and so consumers are comfortable in pushing themselves just a little bit more to get far better quality and value with their holidays.”
He added: “Most people got out of this year’s Autumn budget without any negative impact and so consumer confidence is high. 2024 has been a record-breaking year for NJT consultants, yet we predict 2025 will blow this year’s sales out of the water.
“The travel industry has fully embraced Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but we expect there to be deals from now through to the end of peaks. Consumers should always book sooner rather than later to ensure the best deals and availability.”
