OTA News Travel ceases trading

The Civil Aviation Authority has announced the failure of online travel agency News Travel Ltd.

The regulator said the company “has ceased trading as an Atol holder on 30th September 2021”.

The company held an Atol up until March 31, 2021. Bookings and payments made after April 30, 2021, are not Atol-protected, added the statement from the CAA.

It said the London-based company traded under the names Manila Flights, Email Cheap Flights, Email Holidays, Bargain Holidays Travel, Holidays to Caribbean, Email Hotels, Thailand Holiday, Business Class Flights and Email Flights.

It had websites at www.newstravel.co.uk, www.emailflights.com and www.dubaiholidays.co.

The CAA said it is “currently collating information from the company” and will update its web page about the failure “as soon as possible”.
