Princess to celebrate 40 years in Mediterranean with ‘largest-ever’ collection
Six of line’s fleet to sail in region in 2025
Princess Cruises will celebrate its 40th anniversary of sailing in the Mediterranean with its largest-ever collection in 2025.
Six of the line’s fleet will sail Mediterranean itineraries between March and November 2025, including Sun Princess, which is scheduled to enter service in February 2023, and the yet to be named second ship in the Sphere-class series, which the line is referring to as Sphere 2.
Over the course of the season, the six ships will sail a range of seven to 31-day itineraries departing Southampton, Rome, Athens, Trieste and Barcelona.

Sun Princess will sail a series of seven-day Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona, Rome and Athens which will call at destinations including Istanbul, Naples and Santorini.
Sphere 2, which is expected to enter service in spring 2025, will sail its nine-day Italy and Greece maiden voyage on August 4, 2025, followed by a variety of 10-day roundtrip cruises from Rome.
New for 2025 will be a 31-day Mediterranean Marvel cruise on Sky Princess, including late-night stays in Mykonos, Santorini and Jerusalem.
Emerald Princess will join Regal Princess on a series of 10 to 14-day British Isles cruises, before embarking on Northern Europe itineraries on five to 28-day sailings alongside Sky Princess.
All six ships will also sail between North America and Europe, with 15 to 29-day itineraries available.
Voyages on Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Emerald Princess, which will all sail out of Southampton, will go on sale on May 25, while itineraries on Mediterranean-based ships Sun Princess, Majestic Princess and Sphere 2 go on sale on June 1.
