Vessels to feature ‘several firsts’ for operator

Riviera Travel to add two ships to fleet in 2025

Riviera Travel will unveil two new ships in 2025 which will both feature “several firsts” for the line.

The operator, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary next month, will expand its river cruise ship fleet to seven with the introduction of Riviera Rose and Riviera Radiance – the first two ships in the fleet to bear Riviera’s name.

The 178-passenger Riviera Radiance will enter service in March 2025 followed a month later by 114-passenger Riviera Rose.

Riviera Radiance will have four decks including a sun deck and three restaurants, including Mosaic, which will offer small plates “inspired by the rivers of Europe”.

The ship’s Grand Suites are the largest offered by the operator at 32sqm, and will feature a separate lounge area and balcony with seating.

Other facilities include a swimming pool, spa, wellness area and open kitchen.

Riviera Rose will offer 57 cabins across three decks, including four Balcony Suites with outside seating. Standard cabins will feature French balconies with sliding doors and an inside sitting area.

It will also have a restaurant, bar, lounge, fitness room and sun deck with a swimming pool.

The operator said it would share more information on itineraries “shortly”, with sailings available to book from February 29.

Chief executive Phil Hullah said: “The introduction of these beautiful ships marks a key chapter in the Riviera story as we proudly showcase our name on the bow of the vessels and accelerate our growth plans.

“Our fleet enhancement plans are particularly pertinent as we celebrate our 40th anniversary next month.

“Both Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose will deliver an exceptional guest experience, with new public spaces, dining experiences and our largest-ever suites on Radiance. We are confident that guests will love the new additions and cannot wait for them to join us on board.”
