Turkey advice updated after entry requirements dropped
Unvaccinated travellers no longer need to test
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office has updated its advice on Turkey’s Covid entry requirements following the country’s removal of all restrictions.
As of June 1, travellers entering Turkey no longer need to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative Covid test.
Prior to the rule change, unvaccinated arrivals were required to show evidence of a negative PCR or rapid antigen test.
The updated FCDO website states: “As of June 1, all Covid restrictions in Turkey have been lifted, and passengers arriving in Turkey are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or negative PCR results.”
In addition, Turkey’s face mask mandate has been dropped both indoors and outdoors “if air circulation and social distancing are adequate”.
The FCDO warned Covid entry requirements may change at “short notice” and advised anyone with plans to visit to check rules with their airline before travelling.
