United to add second daily Heathrow-LAX service from March 2023
New flights will take US services from London hub to 23 a day
United Airlines is to add a second daily flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles from next March, taking its daily frequency from Heathrow to the US to 23.
The additional LA flight builds on the recent growth of services to New York/Newark, San Francisco and Denver, as well as a new service to Boston.
Bob Schumacher, UK & Ireland sales director, said: “London continues to be an integral part of United’s global route network and we are excited to announce this further expansion from London Heathrow to the US.
“We expect another busy summer for international travel in 2023 and are proud to build on our industry-leading global network to offer our customers in the UK even greater travel choice and the possibility to connect via our US hubs to other destinations across the Americas.”
The twice-daily service from Heathrow to LAX will start from March 26, 2023, with departures on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft from Heathrow at 11.05am and 4.15pm, and departures from LAX at 12.45pm and 5.15pm.
