Virgin Voyages launches season pass for debut Arctic and Scandinavia cruises
Passengers on the itineraries will sail aboard Valiant Lady
Virgin Voyages is bringing back its popular season pass as it prepares to debut in the Arctic Circle as part of new Scandinavian cruise itineraries.
The adult-only cruise line has launched six voyages that will depart from a new homeport in Amsterdam in summer 2028 aboard Valiant Lady.
The season starts with a 10-night sailing on 9 July 2028 from Barcelona to Amsterdam.
The cruise ship will then be positioned to sail from Amsterdam for a 12-night Scandinavia voyage from 19 July that includes an overnight stop in Stockholm and visits to Oslo, Copenhagen and Aarhus.
Valiant Lady will sail the Norwegian fjords for seven nights from 31 July before visiting Scandinavia and Hamburg on another route that departs from Amsterdam on 7 August.
The cruise line’s Arctic debut will take place during an 11-night Arctic Circle and Norwegian fjords sailing from Amsterdam on 14 August.
It will include a full Arctic crossing ceremony and a midnight sun deck party under 24-hour daylight.
The ship’s summer season will end on 25 August with a 10-night western Europe sailing from Amsterdam to Barcelona.
Bookings open on 14 August, along with pricing information. Passengers will be able to purchase a summer season pass that covers four of the six voyages.
The pass will include a Central Sea Terrace cabin for two passengers, plus $15 (£11) per passenger, per night in on board drink credit and a 60-day dining reservation window.
Passengers will get one complimentary excursion per voyage to the value of up to $250 (£185) per person and one “Arctic Circle Discovery Excursion”.
The price also includes upgraded wifi, laundry service, a one day spa pass, priority boarding, a private champagne breakfast and a reserved viewing area for the Arctic Circle crossing ceremony.
Virgin Voyages has previously offered season passes for sailings in Alaska and the Mediterranean.
Nirmal Saverimuttu, chief executive of Virgin Voyages, said: “One of the things that's most exciting about seeing more sailors come back to us year after year is that it gives us the confidence to keep expanding into new parts of the world.
"We’ve become the go-to brand for anyone traveling without kids and now, northern Europe felt like the right next step. We've built these voyages around the kinds of experiences that make people fall in love with a destination, from the fjords and Baltic capitals to sailing beneath the midnight sun."
