Working With Anxiety & Difficult Emotions

Navigate Anxiety with Mindfulness and Compassion

Anxiety shows up differently for each of us. For some, it's an underlying sense of unease, for others its racing thoughts, and for others it’s panic attacks. At its root, anxiety is an inability to cope with uncertainty, and the mind’s attempt to find safety, often by utilizing ineffective or even unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Buddhism provides us with powerful insights and practices to recognize the causes of suffering, including anxiety, and learn to cultivate peace within all of our experiences. Underneath our spiraling thoughts, chronic stress, and panic attacks is fear of the unknown. When we learn to acknowledge that fear, and make space for it, we can begin to transform our anxiety.

This course includes six workshops from some of our best online learning programs and events. Each workshop offers helpful teachings and guided practices to help you work with anxiety and distressing feelings through the practice of mindfulness, self-compassion, breath awareness, and more. This material is full of wisdom for helping you handle difficult emotions by acknowledging their roots and uncovering your inner resources to better cope with them.

Living is change, constant change. Things falling apart and arising. But we can live there with some sense of dignity and quality of appreciation for our life.
