Accolades handed out to Jet2 for staff share save scheme

A share save scheme instituted by Jet2 has won two accolades at a specialist awards ceremony.

The company introduced the scheme in August, with more than 5,700 staff, or over 60% of those eligible, opting in to save up to £500 a month for three years. 

They can then use that money to buy Jet2 shares at a 20% discount from the August share price, or have their money back.

A dedicated communications plan supported the launch to inform employees, who have been repeatedly recognised and praised for their critical role in enabling Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to deliver industry-leading customer service before and during the pandemic, as well as since the reopening of international travel.

The company’s ShareSave scheme won best international share plan, after the company launched it across Spain, Portugal and the UK in August. 

Jet2 also won an award for most effective communication of an employee share plan for businesses with 5,001-50,000 employees.

The judges at the ProShare Awards praised the innovative and creative approach of the scheme, highlighting the high levels of take up and engagement.
