Travel Counsellors relaunches Gold Weekends for top sellers
Luxury trips will be to Maldives, Dubai, Ibiza and Mediterranean
Travel Counsellors is reintroducing its ‘Gold Weekends’, with four luxury trips for its highest-selling business owners during 2022.
The homeworking agency used to organise two Gold Weekends a year before Covid-19, for its Gold Travel Counsellors.
Now the travel firm is doubling the number of trips this year to a total of four “to celebrate the resilience shown during the pandemic as well as the continuing surge in bookings”.
January 2022 saw Travel Counsellors’ biggest booking month post Covid-19 and its second ever most successful month in its 27-year history, with new group bookings of more than £71.2 million.
About 140 Gold TCs will go on the trips, which feature the new Maldives resort, Oblu Xperience Ailafushi; a Virgin Voyages’ Mediterranean cruise; a stay at W Ibiza; and a break at Caesars Palace, Dubai.
Travel Counsellors will also resume its Gold Dinners, with an event on Sunday (February 27) – the first one since 2020.
The Gold Dinner will take place at the Biltmore Mayfair Hotel in London with more than 100 Gold TCs, along with the company’s directors, support team colleagues and sponsors.
Furthermore, Travel Counsellors will relaunch its “Going for Gold” training programme this year.
The company had 189 Gold TCs as the pandemic began and 28 TCs achieved their “gold” status since February 2020.
