Aer Lingus extends New England schedule

Aer Lingus is extending a transatlantic schedule from Dublin to New England with additional flights beyond this summer’s season.

The Irish flag carrier relaunched operations from Dublin to Bradley International airport earlier this year and will now offer almost year-round connectivity. 

The service to Bradley International, located between Hartford, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts, will run into the new year before pausing for more than two months.

The service will then resume with frequency returning to daily flights for summer 2024.

The route is operated by single aisle Airbus A321neo long range aircraft.

The revised schedule sees the current daily service run until October 26 with three flights a week between October 28 and January 5, 2024.

Flights will be suspended between January 6 and March 12, resuming again with three flights a week between March 13-28.

Daily flights are then restored from March 30 until October, 2024.

Passengers flying into Bradley International can complete US  customs and border protection entry requirements at Dublin airport. 

The airline’s chief strategy and planning officer Reid Moody said: “The extension of our non-stop Dublin airport to Bradley International airport service reflects Aer Lingus’ commitment to our North American expansion, as we grow the number of transatlantic routes from our Dublin hub. 

“The route is Bradley’s only direct service to and from Europe and continues to perform well, reflecting Aer Lingus’ ability to connect Irish customers not only with Hartford, but onwards to the rest of the United States.”
