Amadeus River Cruises to launch new ship in 2023

Amadeus River Cruises will launch a new river ship in May 2023 which will operate on several European rivers.

Amadeus Riva will operate on the Rhine and the Danube, as well as the Dutch and Belgian waterways.

It will have 12 suites with walk-out balconies and 68 exterior cabins across three decks.

The Austrian line said the new build follows “the progressive design and top-level standard” of the rest of the Amadeus fleet.

Hospitality venues on the 135-metre Riva will include the Panorama-Restaurant, Café Vienna, the River Terrace bar on the ship’s bow and the Panorama-Bar, which features a dance floor.

Passengers will be able to choose from 14 departures on Amadeus Riva from spring 2023. These include an eight-day Classical Danube cruise from Passau to Budapest and a 10-day Danube cruise from Vienna to Bucharest.

Any bookings made before November 30, 2022 will receive a 15% early booking discount on the cruise fare.
