AmaWaterways adds more sailings on the Douro

AmaWaterways has extended its 2022 and 2023 seasons on the Douro with 14 extra sailings.

The cruises on AmaDouro from Porto run until the end of December and will feature visits to the country’s Christmas markets, the line said.

More departures of the line’s seven-night round-trip Enticing Douro itinerary have been added to each season.

Passengers who book a 2022 Douro sailing departing between November 12 and December 31 by June 30 will receive a French balcony stateroom, flights, and transfers for £3,299 as part of the line’s More to Love sale.

Kristin Karst, co-founder and executive vice president, said the seasons had been extended due to strong consumer demand.

She said: “The extended season opens up a new opportunity for our travel partners to reserve groups to visit Portugal’s festive Christmas markets, delightful vineyards and historic sites during this quieter period.”
