AS Training takes on assessor from Northern Training Academy
Lynn Corr described as a ‘welcome addition’ to the team
AS Training has taken on an assessor from Northern Training Academy (NTA) which recently lost its contract to run travel apprenticeship courses.
The specialist industry training provider said it was delighted to take on Lynn Corr, who was a coach and assessor at NTA, and ensure she stayed in the travel sector.
Corr, who prior to NTA worked for Thomas Cook in the learning and development department working with apprentices, has been taken on as an assessor.
Michelle Van Sprang, director of AS Training, which stepped in to talk to employers to help apprentices affected by NTA’s course closure, said it would allow Corr to keep on “doing what she does best, teaching the next generation of talent”.
She said: “Lynn is a welcome addition who brings with her a wealth of knowledge that goes back years. It’s wonderful to see how Lynn keeps in touch with apprentices she has taught many years ago and follows their career progression.”
NTA has been forced to close its travel consultant Level 3 apprenticeship course, impacting 30 travel apprentices from agencies nationwide.
