Read about some other recent activities organized by Kadampa centers around the world. Here in this post Australasia, Granada, Valencia, Munich and Texas.
FIRST PUBLIC TALK WITH NEW TEACHER IN KMC VALENCIA
In September we held our first public talk with our new Resident Teacher at KMC Valencia, Kelsang Thaye. The talk was called Inner Peace and was attended by 42 people.
During the talk Kelsang Thaye reminded us that if our mind is not at peace, we cannot be happy, no matter how good our circumstances are. It was a wonderful day.
HIKING DAY WITH OUR GREAT SANGHA AT KMC MUNICH
On Saturday we went on another hiking day with our great KMC Munich Sangha. We went to Kochel am See to the Lainbach waterfalls in the best Oktoberfest weather.
We walked over hills and dales, enjoying the fresh air and the views, and one or two even jumped into the ice-cold water.
We enjoyed the hike together and being together.
JOYFUL GIVING IN NORTH TEXAS
Our precious center participated in the last edition of the North Texas Giving Day event at the AT&T Discovery District in downtown Dallas. This important event is an 18-hour online fundraising event to support nonprofits and encourage donors by offering a platform to connect them with local causes they care about.
North Texas Giving Day has become one of the largest community-wide giving events in the US and KMC Texas were invited to participate in the event, which turned out to be an opportunity to both reach our fundraising goals and enjoy meeting neighbouring nonprofits.
It was inspiring to get to know many people doing beautiful things with a pure heart.
During the event, interested people approached the table we had set up at the event with questions about meditation and how to support our mission to help pure Kadam Dharma flourish!
We all felt very accomplished after enjoying a bright day -- and one full of meaning.
We deeply appreciate our volunteers who made it possible!
