The Woman in Me is Britney’s first book ever, and it has so many never-before-known details about the singer’s life. She opens up about her childhood, early career, and relationships throughout the memoir. Before the full book hit shelves, the excerpts had already made headlines, with many of Britney’s claims about her romance with Justin Timberlake as well as her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears getting tons of attention.
With the response to her book, before it was even released, Britney also released a statement saying that she was trying to move on from the past. “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means,” she wrote on Instagram. “Most of the book is from 20 years ago …. I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!! I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life!”
