Business Travel Association joins forces with Tourism Alliance
Move to help ‘amplify voice’ of corporate sector
The Business Travel Association is adding its weight to trade lobbying body the Tourism Alliance.
The umbrella trade association ensures strong links between the government, Parliament and the travel and tourism industry.
The corporate travel organisation joins more than 70 members, including trade associations, member bodies and destination management organisations.
The partnership sets a strong precedent for the travel industry to explore wider collaborations, bolstering the industry and economy, according to the BTA.
Joining the Tourism Alliance will give the BTA one more platform to promote innovation and efficiency to meet the demands of modern business travellers.
BTA chief executive Clive Wratten (pictured) said: “We’re honoured to be joining forces with the Tourism Alliance as part of our mission to amplify our voice and redefine industry standards.
“Uniting with the Tourism Alliance is more than a collaboration; it is a dynamic platform to broadcast our message louder and further.”
Tourism Alliance executive director Richard Toomer added: “The business travel industry is crucial to the economy and we are pleased to bolster our representation of this part of the travel and tourism sector through this addition to our membership.
“We look forward to working closely with BTA in ensuring its voice is heard in all our internal policy deliberations and our outward facing engagement with decision-makers at all levels.”
