Caledonian Travel adds five coaches to fleet

Caledonian Travel has added five new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches to its fleet, to cater for growing demand for its holidays.

Founded in April 2021 as part of Caledonian Leisure, the company has already grown beyond its Scottish heartland into northern England.

A spokesperson said the five new vehicles takes the fleet to more than 50 but “exact numbers vary depending on the tour programme at any particular time.”

Graham Rogers, managing director, said: “As well as praising the exceptional value of our expanding product range, our customers on Feefo consistently praise the quality and standards of our coach fleet [and] our excellent team of drivers.

“This investment in five brand-new ’22 plate Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches in response to growing demand for our holidays underlines our commitment to delivering first-class levels of safety and comfort for our customers, and is part of an ongoing measure to continually upgrade our vehicles with the most efficient, comfortable and environmentally friendly vehicles available.”

As part of its growth strategy for 2022, Caledonian Travel has launched a programme of European holidays starting in March, with packages including mini-cruises to Amsterdam, city breaks to Paris and Rome and coastal breaks to the Italian Riviera and Spanish Costa Brava.

The company has also strengthened its retail presence by developing a network of travel trade partners and opening five travel centres in key departure towns.
