EasyJet holidays celebrates ‘takeover day’ at Hays Travel HQ
Tour operator organised training and activities in Sunderland
EasyJet holidays is celebrating a successful ‘takeover day’ at Hays Travel’s head office in Sunderland.
Training and activities were organised for staff working in the agency’s commercial, customer relations, marketing, product and social media teams, with pizza, ice cream and other treats also served.
Roy Stratford, head of commercial partnerships at easyJet holidays, said: “We’re delighted to have visited Hays, a key trade partner for us since launch, to showcase our business and discuss ways we can enhance our relationship even further, to convert customers looking to book their perfect package holiday with a trusted travel agent.”

Many Hays Travel staff dressed in orange to mark the event, which took place in late August.
Natasha Marson, head of trade distribution at easyJet holidays, said it was “incredibly important” for the operator to work closely with travel agent partners.
She and Stratford had a meeting with Hays Travel’s chief operating officer, Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, to discuss the relationship between the two companies.
Woodall-Johnston said: “Our sincere thanks to our easyJet Holidays partners for an excellent day. The team put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring the right mix of relevant training and fun activities, which our head office colleagues appreciated.”
