Emirates adds extra flight to Gatwick schedule
Service will run from July 27 to August 3
Emirates Airlines has added a third daily flight to its Gatwick schedule for a week-long period – days after agreeing to cap sales of flights from Heathrow until the middle of next month.
The daily flight will provide additional seats to accommodate Emirates passengers affected by capacity adjustments on flights from Heathrow, the carrier said.
A wide-body Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft will operate the extra flight which will run between July 27 and August 3.
Earlier this week, Emirates agreed to further cap sales of its flights from Heathrow until mid-August.
Affected customers impacted by capacity adjustments at Heathrow will be contacted directly by the airline or their travel agent.
The airline said it was working “closely” with agents to re-accommodate any impacted bookings.
Emirates will restart flights to and from Stansted on August 1 and the carrier plans to operate six daily flights to and from Heathrow until mid-August.
