G Adventures launches range of active travel itineraries
Geluxe Collection ‘unlike any other on market’, says operator
G Adventures has launched a range of active travel itineraries focused on community and culture.
The Geluxe Collection, which comprises 28 trips, offers “one-of-a-kind accommodation and elevated dining” and is “unlike any other programme of trips currently on the market”, according to the operator.
Yves Marceau, vice-president of product for G Adventures, said the range “epitomises adventure at its finest” and fills a gap in the market for people looking for premium active experiences.
“We’re rolling out the purple carpet with The Geluxe Collection,” he said. “These trips have been carefully curated for people who enjoy adventure with a softer landing, yet still appreciate meaningful interactions with local people as part of their travel experience.
“Each day has been meticulously crafted to get travellers deeper into the destination, while still being physically active throughout their trip.
“Every meal tells the story of the people and place it came from. Accommodation is unique to the location, and all trips have community tourism at their core, so travellers form a richer connection with local people and their culture, while also giving back as they travel.”
The collection is available to book now, with departures from May 2024.
The 16 countries featured at launch are Botswana, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Peru, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
The maximum group size is 16, with an average of 10-12 people per departure.
