Government shares National Mourning media toolkit for businesses
Assets can be used on websites, social media profiles and in shop windows
The government has created two toolkits providing guidance to businesses and individuals during the country’s period of mourning following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The National Mourning Period toolkit contains the EIIR cypher which can be used on websites, social media profiles, digital screens and shop windows.
Businesses are advised to use the images any time between now and the Queen’s funeral, but especially from 8pm on Sunday, September 18 until 9am on Tuesday, September 20.

The second toolkit shares information on the National Moment of Reflection which will take place at 8pm on Sunday, September 18 to mourn the death of the Queen and to reflect on her life and legacy.
The guidance invites the public to take part in a minute’s silence and said it is a “way for individuals, community organisations or neighbourhoods to reflect on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II – especially for those who may not have been able to attend official events around the United Kingdom and wish to pay their respects”.
A separate two-minute silence will take place as part of the state funeral proceedings on Monday, September 19.
The guidance says there is no obligation for businesses to use the assets, but they are encouraged to share details with their own networks if they feel appropriate.
