Hays Travel rewards top homeworking cruise sellers with river trip
Agents join seven-night Danube sailing with AmaWaterways
Hays Travel’s 15 top homeworking cruise sellers have been rewarded with a seven-night sailing along the Danube with AmaWaterways.
The ‘Captain’s Table’ trip is awarded to the top cruise sellers over the previous year from the agency’s Personal Travel Consultant and Explorer Franchise teams.
The seven-night river cruise on Ama Viola included daily free excursions such as walking and cycling tours, theatre trips and music festivals.
Tanya Cooper, head of PTC at Hays Travel, said: “Over a 12-month period the agents have the opportunity to drive their cruise sales with the chance of securing a place on the ‘Captain’s Table’ trip.
“A number of our top cruise sellers make over £1 million in sales in a year and right up to the final month people were moving in and out of the leader table as the competition to secure a place heated up.
“We were delighted to be able to join with our valued partner, AmaWaterways, as we believe their product to be of the highest quality, offering locally sourced food and wine, elegant ships, beautiful staterooms, and exceptional service.
“The trip was a chance to experience river cruising, which is something the majority of the group had never had the opportunity to enjoy.”
Hays Travel homeworker Simon Morgan was one of the agents on the cruise.
He said: “This journey was nothing short of spectacular – the dining, service and scenery were second-to-none. It completely re-sculpted my views of river cruising.
“The ‘Captain’s Table’ party consists of the top performers across Hays Travel’s homeworking divisions. It was an absolute pleasure to network with fellow business owners and share success stories and initiatives.”
The trip was sponsored by AmaWaterways, with the first three days escorted by the cruise line’s sales director for UK and Europe, Andrea Stafford, and the second half by its business development manager, Katrina Latimer.
Hays Travel’s PTC business development coach, Gillian Stark, accompanied the team throughout their journey.
