Hurtigruten appoints David Chidley as account manager
Line says hire will be ‘vital’ to trade distribution growth
Hurtigruten has appointed David Chidley as an account manager for its UK sales team.
Chidley has more than 25 years’ experience in the travel industry, having held positions at Royal Caribbean, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Fred River Cruises and Virgin Atlantic.
In his new role, which will begin on May 13, Chidley will be responsible for managing existing key accounts and supporting their development, “which will be vital to the growth of trade distribution”, the line said.

Chidley’s appointment follows the recent promotion of James Howlett to head of sales for the UK after the departure of Anthony Daniels.
“The cruise industry is a highly competitive space and I’m raring to take on the challenge and use my skills and expertise to help Hurtigruten stand out amongst the trade,” said Chidley.
“I look forward to working with James Howlett again as well as the wider team to deliver great results. I can’t wait to get started.”
