Icon of the Seas to star in National Geographic documentary

Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Icon of the Seas, is to feature in a National Geographic documentary hosted by British construction expert Daniel Ashville.

The six-part series, called Building Impossible, takes viewers on an “exploration of the world’s most extraordinary and precarious build” and “showcases architectural marvels that defy imagination”, according to National Geographic.

The largest ship in the world will be the focus of the first episode in the series which is set to air at 8pm each week beginning Thursday, September 14.

Alongside Icon of the Seas, which is scheduled to enter service in January 2024, the series will focus on the Brenner Tunnel, MSG Sphere, Intuit Dome, Msikaba Bridge and Pathfinder 1.
