Loveholidays bolsters team with ex-Expedia hire

OTA loveholidays has recruited former Expedia product management head Dan Craig as chief product officer.

He will lead the company’s product team as it further develops and expands its platform, which empowers customers to build their own holiday from different hotel and flight options.

Craig the latest senior appointment following Rick Kershaw arriving as chief human resources officer in November.

Both join a more than 250-strong team as the firm increases its headcount by 45% – the equivalent of 110 new roles – this financial year.

Chief executive Donat Retif said: “Dan has considerable industry experience, an exceptional track record and is one of the best in the market for shaping and developing product capabilities.

“After an incredible decade of growth, we have reached a natural point to expand our executive leadership team and create this new position as we continue to scale up as a business.

“This appointment demonstrates loveholidays’ continued commitment to investing in our product proposition and opening the world to everyone.”

Craig added: “Loveholidays already has an impressive offering that builds unique packages to meet customer needs. The choice, value and ease of the platform, underpinned by a competitive range of low deposit and payment options, have really made travel more accessible.

“I’ll now be working with the team to further develop that offering, while ensuring the strategy revolves around our customers’ wants and needs. Ultimately, this is about bringing the best product to market to help people go on holiday and make incredible memories.”
