New Soho House to open 45 minutes outside of central London

A new Soho House is opening 45 minutes from London and will see the launch of the brand’s first-ever racquet and rowing club.

The international private members’ club has revealed that its 15th branch will be opening up in the historic town of Windsor.

Soho River House will open its doors in 2027 on the banks of the River Thames, although an exact date has not yet been announced.

Similar to its other locations, it will include bedrooms for guests, multiple food and drink options and a 25-metre pool, plus a range of activities.

Artist renderings suggest inspiration has been taken from the classic English country club, with designs showing a grand dining area, complete with chandeliers and ornate cornices.

Members will have access to a riverside restaurant and a vinyl bar, as well as an outpost of the Soho Health Club which includes a gym, wellness facilities, onsens and cold plunges.

Soho River House will also open the first Soho House Racquet and Rowing Club, featuring tennis, padel and pickleball courts. There will also be dry boat storage, a dedicated boat staging area and direct river access via a launching ramp.

Applications for Soho River House will open ahead of its launch next year. Those interested in becoming a member can register their interest on the Soho House website.

Would-be members are required to submit an online application and be approved by a committee to join, with annual fees up to £4,500 for the highest tier.

This includes access to 48 houses in 19 countries, discounted rates on Soho House bedrooms, Health Club benefits and access to events.
