Oceania Cruises returns to service after 524 days

Oceania Cruises has restarted sailing for the first time in 524 days as the pandemic shut down operations.

Marina is the first of the line’s ships to return to service and the first to sail from the port of Copenhagen since 2019.

The vessel’s first voyage back in the Baltic region will be followed by cruises around western Europe, the Mediterranean and the Greek islands prior repositioning to Miami with arrival due on December 1.

Marina will be followed by Riviera, which resumes sailing in the Greek islands on October 18.

Insignia sails from Miami on December 21 on six month-long round the world voyage.

Sirena resumes sailing in the Caribbean on January 21, 2022, Regatta on February 5 in the Pacific followed by Nautica in the Mediterranean on April 1.

All Oceania cruises are operating with a requirement that all passengers and crew are vaccinated.

President and chief executive Bob Binder said: “Today is one of those days we will all remember for a lifetime as we reunite with our shipboard families and our guests to start exploring the world once again.”
