Palm Beaches prize trip on offer as training portal launches
Tourist board also unveils new brand marketing campaign
The tourism marketing organisation for Palm Beach County in Florida has created a new training portal for agents, along with the chance to win a trip to the destination.
The free online travel trade portal from Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB) aims to help travel professionals learn, sell, engage with and promote the region.
Its modules cover history, geography, lodging, cuisine, transport, events, tourist attractions and more.
After completion of all the modules, agents will be certified.
One winner for the trip will be chosen at random from the first 100 travel professionals who complete certification by June 30.
The two-night, three-day prize trip will be for two people, including air travel.
Milton Segarra, certified destination management executive, president and chief executive of DTPB, said: “Travel advisors are tremendous ambassadors for our destination, and we’re hopeful they will find ‘The Palm Beaches Travel Trade Portal’ a valuable resource to help increase awareness of why we are a great place to visit.
“This is another feather in our innovation cap. Thanks to the efforts and collaboration of our Global Leisure Sales & Marketing Technology team, this training portal will save our organisation approximately $200,000 over the next five years, and we believe it will solidify the expertise of travel trade professionals seeking to curate memorable experiences for their clients.”
DTPB has also launched its latest brand campaign, The Palm Beaches Collection, highlighting the diversity on offer across the destination’s 39 cities and towns.
