During Miami Art Week, the Pantone Color Institute revealed “Peach Fuzz” as the 2024 Color of the Year. This selection is designated as PANTONE 13-1023 TCX. Also, it marks a departure from the bold tones of previous years. Hence, it embraces a gentler hue over the vibrant precursor, “Viva Magenta.”
Executive director Leatrice Eiseman described Peach Fuzz as a “cozy peach hue” settled between pink and orange from the color chart. Mainly, it is to symbolize belonging, adjustment and nurturing. This choice, marking the 25th Color of the Year, aligns with a trend toward neutral tones evident in fashion runways and product designs.
Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized Peach Fuzz’s resonance with the wellness industry’s care and community focus. According to Pressman, “The color’s warm and welcoming embrace conveys compassion and enriches the soul. Through this, it fosters a sense of togetherness.”

Eiseman added, “PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz awakens our senses to the comforting presence of tactility and cocooned warmth. Consequently, it offers peace and impacts our well-being from within.”
How Has Peach Fuzz Been Embraced in Fashion and High-Profile Events?
Pantone’s color selection process spans various industries, analyzing emerging entertainment, art, fashion, design, and socio-economic trends. The decision factors include technological advancements, materials, social media influences, and even globally recognized sporting events.
Pantone also selected past colors, like Viva Magenta for 2023 and Very Peri for 2022. Furthermore, it has significantly influenced product development and consumer choices across the fashion, interior design, and packaging sectors.
This year’s selection arrives when the craving for nurturing, empathy, and tranquility intensifies. Moreover, it symbolizes resilience and vitality, uplifting spirits as we envision a brighter tomorrow. The pressman highlighted the necessity of a color that embodies gentle lightness, elevating our aspirations for the future.
Thus, the ‘Peach Fuzz‘ hue, through its gentle allure and airy presence, serves as a beacon of inspiration for creatives and businesses globally, guiding people into a more compassionate and harmonious future.
