Qatar Airways adds eighth daily Heathrow flight to Doha
Carrier to operate 56 services a week from late October

Qatar Airways will add an eighth daily flight between Heathrow and Doha from the end of October, extending the carrier’s weekly services to 56 “following strong demand from customers”.
Qatar has also announced increased frequencies between its Doha hub and Miami, Male and Tokyo, with the carrier moving to operate 12 flights a week to Miami, 28 a week to Male – the capital of the Maldives – and 11 flights a week to Tokyo during the peak winter 2024-25 season.
The Qatar state carrier attributed the additional flights to “increased demand from passengers”.
The added flights from Heathrow to Doha will operate from the start of the winter schedule on October 27, departing Heathrow daily at 15:30 to arrive into Doha at 01:10 the following day, and departing Doha at 09:30 to get into Heathrow at 14:05.
The services will connect with onward flights to Australia, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and take Qatar’s capacity on the Heathrow-Doha route to 42,000 seats a week.
Qatar Airways chief commercial officer Thierry Antinori said: “Qatar Airways’ is strengthening its commitment to the UK. Growing to 56 flights a week – the most of any Gulf carrier – reinforces our long-standing relationship with Heathrow Airport, as well as our unique strategic alliance with British Airways.”
The airline is a joint business partner with BA, which operates two flights a day between Heathrow and Doha.
Antinori added: “Our increased flights during the winter holiday season comes as a response to the needs of our passengers.”
Qatar Airways holds a 25% stake in BA parent International Airlines Group (IAG) and the Qatar Investment Authority owns a 20% stake in Heathrow Airport.
